Oakley Sunglasses Hong Kong joins as Official Eyewear Partner, bringing event-only offers, on-site access and prizes to the fleet.

Oakley Sunglasses Hong Kong has been appointed Official Eyewear Partner of the 2027 Hong Kong Dragon World Championship, racing from 21 to 29 November 2026 at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and Clearwater Bay.

Oakley is known for its work in optics and sport eyewear, and the partnership is aimed squarely at the conditions the fleet will be racing in. Glare off the water, spray and light that changes from one leg to the next all bear directly on how well a crew can see the course, and on how safely they can sail it.

For competitors the partnership means event-only offers, access to Oakley on site during the championship and eyewear among the prizes, as the Dragon Worlds comes to Asia for the first time in the class’s 98-year history.

“We are delighted to welcome Oakley Sunglasses Hong Kong as Official Eyewear Partner for this historic championship,” said Mr Ronnie Chan on behalf of the Organising Committee. “Hong Kong’s conditions can be intense and fast-changing, and good eyewear is equipment, not an accessory. Oakley’s support will help sailors arrive prepared and stay focused through the week.”

“Oakley Hong Kong is proud to support the 2027 Hong Kong Dragon World Championship and the international Dragon fleet,” said Mr Peter Tan, General Manager, Hong Kong & Taiwan Professional Solutions, EssilorLuxottica, on behalf of Oakley Sunglasses Hong Kong. “We look forward to helping sailors perform at their best with eyewear designed for clarity, protection and all-day comfort on the water.”

The appointment reflects a shared interest in what competitors need to race well, and in the experience the championship gives them, as the international Dragon fleet converges on Hong Kong in November 2026.
