Working at the championship
Media accreditation
Accreditation is required for access to the boat park, the race office and the media positions at both venues, and for any place on a media boat. It is free. Apply once for both the Asia Pacific Championship and the World Championship.
Applications close on 31 October 2026. Badges are printed on 1 November 2026. Late applications are accepted and will be considered, but a badge and a boat place cannot be guaranteed.
Before you apply
- Photography of member boats at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club is not permitted.
- Drone operation requires a separate declaration of aircraft, operator and take-off point, and compliance with Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department requirements.
- Two media boats operate, one for photography and one for video. Places are allocated in advance by the media team.

Venues
The Dragon class
Designed in 1929 by the Norwegian naval architect Johan Anker, the Dragon was an Olympic class from 1948 to 1972 and remains one of the most competitive one-design keelboats in the world, sailed by a crew of three. The class is governed by the International Dragon Association, and national fleets race across Europe, Australia and Asia. It is known for the strength of its amateur and professional fields racing on equal terms.

No commercial, advertising, sponsor or merchandising use. No resale or redistribution. Please do not crop so that a competitor’s sail number is lost. Logos and brand assets
Championship marks for use in reporting the event, in SVG and PNG, for light and dark backgrounds.
- The title sponsorship is part of the mark. Please do not place the Sun Hung Kai & Co. logo separately alongside it.
- Please do not redraw, recolour, stretch or add effects to either mark.
- Keep clear space of one sail height on all sides.
- Partner and sponsor logos are not distributed here. Please request them from the partner directly.
Event fonts are not distributed. If the pack does not have what you need, write to media@dragonworld2027.com.
During the championship
We publish to a fixed rhythm every racing day, so you know when to come back.
Racing days are 19, 20 and 21 November for the Asia Pacific Championship, and 23, 24, 25, 27, 28 and 29 November for the World Championship. The 26th is a lay day, and the Race Committee will notify if racing is needed on it to complete the series.

On site
Conditions of access
- Accreditation is personal and cannot be transferred.
- Photography of member boats at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club is prohibited.
- There is no parking at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club. Media arrive on foot or by taxi.
- Drones may be flown only by declaration, from the declared take-off point, in compliance with Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department requirements. No flight over the clubhouse, the golf course, car parks, member berths or people.
- Media boat places are allocated in advance. Two boats operate, one for photography and one for video.
- Follow the instructions of the race officers and the media team on the water at all times.
